CAMPION  HR. SEC. SCHOOL, 81st SCHOOL ANNUAL DAY

Campion with a record of 81 years of service in the field of education, celebrated its Primary School Achievers’ Day on the 11th of January, 2016.

This year also marked the Tercentenary of St. Montfort’s Feast and the Foundation of the Brothers’ Congregation. Under the able guidance and stewardship of many pioneers, Campion showed steady progress and today Campion stands out as one of the best schools in the State.

The distinguished guests of the day were Dr. Mathew T Thomas, Alumnus and Country Director, U.S. Food and Drug Administration, New Delhi, who presided 1over the function, Mr. A. Murugesan, Superintendent of Prisons, Central Prison, Trichy, who was the Chief Guest and Mr. C. Arumugam, Office Assistant and Mr. S. Arockiasamy, Lab Assistant of Campion School who were due for retirement shortly were the Special Invitees.

The main feature of the Annual Day Celebrations was the Prize Distribution ceremony. Students who performed excellently well in academics, during the year, were honoured.

A Montfortian documentary and the Annual Report for the academic year 2015-2016 was presented by Rev. Bro. Soosairaj, the Principal, in a multimedia presentation. The highlight of the documentary was a presentation of the life of Montfort and the growth of the Brothers Congregation worldwide.

The second day of the Tercentenary of St. Montfort’s Feast and the Foundation of the Brothers’ Congregation Celebrations was set apart to honour the Achievers of the Senior School, on Tuesday, the 12th January, 2016.2

The President of the day was Rev. Bro. K.M. Joseph, Assistant General, Montfort Brothers of St. Gabriel, Rome and the Chief Guest was Dr. Mathew T Thomas, Alumnus and Country Director, U.S. Food and Drug Administration, New Delhi. The Guests of Honour were Rev. Bro. Jean-Paul Mbengue, Assistant General, Montfort Brothers of St. Gabriel, Rome, and Rev. Bro. Mariannan, Provincial Superior, Montfort Brothers of St. Gabriel, Trichy.
Mr. Arokiasamy Singaraj, P.G. Assistant in English, Campion School who had retired after 32 years of service, was the Special Invitee.

The Annual Report for the academic year 2015-2016 was presented by Rev. Bro. Soosairaj, the Principal, in a multimedia presentation. The highlight of the Finale was a presentation of the life of Montfort and the growth of the Brothers Congregation worldwide in shadow Mime.

The Finale highlighted the message that every person should be a bearer of light, in the footsteps of St. Montfort’s love and service to mankind.
